The following trade is impossible: Rajon Rondo for Chris Paul. The salaries of the respective players don't match up and in the NBA, that means a deal isn't getting done.
But let's throw on our hypothetical hats and say this trade could happen. Let's use our imaginations. If you were Danny Ainge, would you execute this trade if the offer was on the table? If it could be done, and New Orleans called you and said, "We'll give you Chris Paul for Rajon Rondo", would you do it?
Stay Tuned.

I might, but only because of the way Rondo sacrifices his body
Love that Rondo does that to win, but he takes some amazing hits and gets up.
Is he an injury waiting to happen? Don't know
This isn't a serious question is it?
Chris Paul is the top PG in the game, 22.8 11apg 5.5 rpg 2.8 spg. How would you not give up Rondo for him? Plus he's much less likely to injure himself.
This is a no brainer. I'd even throw in a 1st round pick.
Secondly, does anyone know how much easier Chris Paul would make KG's life? or Paul's or Ray's?
How many times in the postseason did our offense bog down with forced shots being thrown up?
I fux with Rondo but he's not on Paul's level.
I think if Rajon can get that jumper to fall this season it'll become a much more difficult argument.
I know how great Paul is. I'm not crazy for asking.
But, I've also argued that their situations are so different it's almost tough to gauge. Clearly Paul could make it work in Boston and for the most part do what Rondo does.
But who's to say Rajon can't do what Paul can? If Rondo had to be THE man (he would nee that jumper for that to happen though), who's to say he couldn't put up 20-10-5-2?
Obviously we all know he doesn't have to do that here, but we know he CAN do it when he needs to.
Paul was definitely much more NBA-ready when he came into the league and Rajon's basically had to play catch up in that regard. I'm not saying he ever will, but I'd argue that he's closing in.
I doubt that NO would make that trade.
