A Simple Reaction to the Poll

I know how I feel about the Celtics and if you've read this blog on any sort of continuous basis, you know how I feel, as well.

But it's always gratifying to see a sense of trust and belief from those fans who I do not know on a personal level. It's nice to see that out of the 151 votes that have graced the most recent poll, 121 of them selected the Celtics as the favorites heading into next season.

I have no real way of knowing who exactly voted on the poll or where those people are from, but I like to think that some of them are spread throughout the country, as the Celtics hold an astounding contingent of fans across the United States. If you need proof of that, tune into Comcast SportsNet or ESPN, ABC or TNT whenever the Celtics are on the road. I promise you, you'll see a lot of Green.

I've always been an adamant believer that a team's fan base can change its fortunes for the better. I also believe that when the playoffs hit, the better a team's fans are, the better chance it has to win. Essentially, we can all have a say this coming season, if we so choose to.

It's going to be a great season. For all of us.
