Some Quick Celtic Quotes of Interest

By: Greg Payne

Unfortunately I have an extremely hectic and busy day ahead of me. I've been up since 5:30 a.m. and could conceivably not see my bed again until 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.

I was selected as an Orientation Leader for my school, and the soon-to-be freshmen arrive in about two hours, so I will not be posting very much today, but will definitely be back in touch tomorrow morning once I'm able to sleep a little bit.

If I can at any point today sneak back to my dorm and post something interesting, I will do just that.

But for now, I leave you with this quote from Ray Allen about winning a championship in Boston (This is what he said to Grant Hill):

On his sales pitch to Hill, Allen said, "When we talked, [Hill] was excited about what I was telling him. I told him, 'If you ever want to win a championship, you want to win it in Boston because you become a god, you become a part of a legacy and you won't die with the fans. It will always be everlasting. You can be with other cities and win it, but nothing like here.'"

And this one from Rasheed Wallace, comparing his game to Kevin Garnett's:

"I would say the one difference between Kevin and myself is he's a better rebounder but I'm a better jump shooter," Wallace said. "Everything else is the same as far as the heart, the adrenaline going into the game, wanting to win . . . everything else is the same except for those two little things."

Oh, and here's a bonus quote about Kevin Garnett's current state (since that was priority number one on the last poll featured on this Celtics blog):

"I'm feeling great," Garnett said as he sat at the dais on the team's practice court at HealthPoint in Waltham. "If (team trainer) Ed Lacerte wasn't here or if we didn't have so many people around, I'd take off running right now."

"My rehab is going really well," Garnett said. "I'm ahead of schedule. At this point, I'm just trying to continue to heal and continue to get stronger."

Stay Tuned.
