So basically the Celtics have until the end of the day to pick up Gabe Pruitt's option and as the Globe reported on Wednesday, it's unlikely to happen.
So basically by the end of today, either Pruitt's option won't be picked up or he'll be involved in some sort of transaction (most likely not the Marquis Daniels one, which we're still waiting on).
I don't think anyone would have thought that Glen Davis would sit around through the entire months of June and July, but the longer he stays available, the better chance we have of picking him up. Lamar Odom signing with the Lakers was really the last big name out there.
Hakim Warrick hitting the free agent market also hurts Davis' chances, but so far, it seems like Cleveland, Philadelphia and Milwaukee are the top teams in the Warrick sweepstakes.
Either way, by the end of today, I firmly anticipate something to have happened. I'm sure when I arrive home around 3:45 p.m. today, I'll flip open my laptop and go, "Woah".
Stay Tuned.
